DWRC OPERATING RULES 2011

DWRC is a recreational facility fully contained on private property for the exclusive use and enjoyment of its Members and their guests. These rules have been approved and set in place by the Board of Directors and govern the use of the facilities for the year 2011. Members who have questions or comments concerning the rules should contact any member of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Members will be notified of any changes.

2011 DWRC RULES FOR PRIVATE FUNCTIONS

The DWRC Park, playground area, pool and pavilion, or tennis courts may be reserved for private parties in accordance with these rules. For date availability and scheduling contact: Joyce Mims, at 770-491-7064 or e-mail at mims1645@hotmail.com.

RESERVATIONS, FEES and NOTICE OF FUNCTION

Members in good standing may reserve the park pavilion, tennis courts or pool and pavilion (unless it is closed for a club sponsored function or maintenance). Weekend availability may be limited for any rental. The pool may only be reserved on Sunday or Thursday from 6:30pm to 10:00pm (11:00 p.m. with prior approval). Please Note: No private parties may be held during club functions, during normal pool hours, when no lifeguard is on duty or pool is closed for maintenance. Pool availability may be limited.

  2. 2. Members should complete and submit the DWRC Private Function Request.
  3. 3. Only adult Members (those responsible for membership fee payment) are allowed to reserve any of the DWRC facilities and an adult member of the Member family must be in attendance during the entire event.
  4. 4. All required fees (see reservation request) shall be paid at the time the reservation request is submitted.
  5. 5. Notice of the private function will be posted on the pool bulletin board as soon as the event date is finalized
GENERAL RULES
  1. 1. The Member reserving the club area is responsible for all attendees and their actions. All persons attending the party must adhere to DWRC rules.
  2. 2. Any Member reserving the club must sign a special waiver to cover the private party. No private party may take place without this signed waiver on file.
  3. 3. Maximum occupancy must not exceed 100 persons for any scheduled event, without prior approval.
  4. 4. For private parties at the pool - Pool Management shall be responsible for scheduling the appropriate number of DWRC approved lifeguards and will notify the Member prior to their party who will be on duty. DWRC reserves the right to schedule more than one lifeguard for safety reasons if they feel it is in the best interest of the club and a second lifeguard may be required if there are 25 or more attendees.
  5. 5. The private party rate for the lifeguards is $12.00 per guard per hour, with a two-hour minimum. The fee should be paid by cash or check directly to the lifeguard(s) at the time of service.
  6. 6. Members reserving any of the facilities shall be responsible for full restitution of damages done to any club property or pool equipment during their party.
  7. 7. After satisfactory inspection of the DWRC property rented for the function the refundable deposit will be returned.
CLEANING
  1. 1. 1. During the summer season (approximately June 1, through August 15), the Lifeguards are responsible for cleaning the bathrooms, wiping down the pool furniture and general pool premises cleanup. Therefore, the club will be in a cleaned state for any party. During months when no Lifeguard is on duty, the Member having the party shall be responsible for cleaning up the pool premises, pool furniture, bathrooms, etc.
  2. 2.In order to receive a full return of deposit, the following must be completed:
    • •Clean bathrooms.
    • •Wipe down pool and pavilion furniture and food bar surface on pavilion.
    • •Wipe down food bar surface in pavilion and sweep food/debris from pavilion floor.
    • •Collect all trash and place in proper receptacles.
    • •Remove any floats or other pool toys/equipment from pool and return them to the wading pool area.
    • •• Any thing else that needs to be done in order to leave the area in the condition it was found.

    2011 DWRC RULES FOR TENNIS COURT

    GENERAL
    1. DWRC identification badges should be worn or with the member when using the tennis courts.
    2. Courteous behavior is expected of all persons using the tennis facilities.
    3. Playing time will be the hours between 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
    4. Proper attire and appropriate shoes must be worn within the fenced area of the courts. Neither shoes with cleats nor muddy shoes will be allowed on the courts.
    5. Only tennis players and tennis equipment are allowed within the fenced areas.
    6. No food, alcoholic beverages, or smoking will be allowed on the courts, only in the viewing area.
    7. Members are responsible for picking up litter for themselves, their family and guests and disposing of it in the proper receptacles.
    8. Children 17 years of age and under may not reserve a court after 6:00 p.m. on Fridays and all day Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Holidays shall normally coincide with local banking holidays.
    9. Children may play during the restricted periods if a court is vacant.
    10. No individual player may occupy a court if other players are waiting to play.

    12. All players on the court must leave at the end of their respective playing time if other players are waiting to play.

    14. Members may bring guest in accordance with the DWRC Operational Rules for Guests.
    15. The tennis committee reserves the right to reserve the courts on occasion for competitive tournaments
    16. Permission must be obtained in writing; from the tennis committee, for any use of the tennis facilities other than set forth in these rules. This would include league play, instructional use, etc.

    RESERVATIONS
    1. Reservations may be made no earlier than 6:00 a.m and courts are to be reserved with a 2-hour maximum.
    2. Any member (except as stated in number 8) can reserve a court for 2 hours by placing their name on the reservation list.
    3. 3. Reservations are limited to 2 hours per family per day; however, after 7:00 a.m. all remaining court times may be reserved according to the existing rules. A person may sign up one other family member after each person in line has had an opportunity to sign the reservations sheet.
    4. 4. A member may not reserve the court more than one time until he/she has completed his/her playing time. At this time he/she may sign up again if court time is available for that day.
    5. 5. No group of two or four players may have two consecutive reservations.
    6. 6. A reservation is forfeited if players are not present 10 minutes after their schedule starting time.
    7. 7. If reserved time is forfeited, present players may continue until the court is claimed.
    8. 8. Reservations shall be made for a starting time as listed on the reservation sheet.
    9. 9. When no reservations have been made, the court is open to all members on a first-come, first-serve basis, subject to other provisions within these rules.
    DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
    1. First Offense – The tennis committee shall notify the member accused of the violation in person or via phone.
    2. Second Offense – Notification in writing from the chairman of the tennis committee.
    3. Third Offense – The tennis committee shall recommend to the Board that the Member family be suspended a minimum of one week.
    4. Flagrant violation of these rules, defacing or destruction of property, removal of equipment from the courts may result in recommendation for immediate suspension of the entire family for a minimum of one month and the member will be responsible for full restitution of any damages.
    5. The tennis committee has the authority to recommend that the board refer some situations to authorities for criminal prosecution.

    REMEMBER If you are the last person on the courts, lock the gate and turn off the lights as you leave!!!
